This section of the website provides information about the
background to the GLAADH project.
Look at About GLAADH for the
background to the project and what its aims and objectives were. You can also
find useful information about related organisations underQAA
and HEFCE.
Read the results of our Survey
which was one of the first substantial acts of the project and sought to
establish what existing teaching provision and resources consisted of, future
curriculum plans, and ways in which GLAADH could contribute to future plans.
The Workshop was the second act
of the project and was organised to follow up some of the findings of the
Survey. The workshop provided an opportunity to exchange ideas about practices,
problems and experiences in diversifying the AADH curriculum. Read the
Overview for a summary of the key issues
that came out of the event, or the Session Notes
which provide a detailed synopsis of key speakers sessions, ranging from using
museum collections as a resource, to personal experiences of broadening the
curriculum. You can also review Feedback about the
day and survey the list of Delegates.
Initiatives Funding Criteria provides
information about the funds that were made available for small projects in UK
HE institutions that were assessed under the 1996-99 round of Subject Review in
Art, Architecture and Design History, under the QAA. Ten institutions were
subsequently awarded funds and information about those projects can be found in
the GLAADH Outcomes section.
Finally, you can access an index of GLAADH Bulletins which you can read through and catch
up on all the GLAADH news and events.
